Our team is preparing for a 28-day mold growth test according to IEC 60068-2-10 (Test J) for electronic assemblies used in High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) converter valve systems.
The test objects include our cell electronics and gate units. These contain a combination of the following material categories:
- Ceramic materials (capacitors)
- Metal materials (resistor films, component leads, connectors, PCB copper layers)
- Plastic / polymer materials (IC packages, connector housings, optical components)
- Glass fiber reinforced epoxy (FR-4 PCB substrate)
- Optical components (plastic lenses, metal housings)
- Other materials (labels, wooden mounting plate)
For our planning, could you please provide the following information:
- Capability – Can your laboratory perform IEC 60068-2-10 mold growth tests, and do you hold relevant accreditation?
- Quotation – Pricing for the test.
- Lead Time – Required preparation time before the test can start.
- Availability – The next available test slot.
- Lab Details – Laboratory address and contact information preferably in EU/UK.
- Product Compatibility – Whether the test can be performed directly on our cell electronics and gate units.
- Experience – Previous testing experience with electronic assemblies or power-electronics modules.
- Other Standards – In addition to IEC 60068-2-10, do you also offer mold/fungal tests according to GJB 150A.10 or MIL-STD-810?
