Mold Growth Test IEC 60068-2-10 in Sweden, Europe

Our team is preparing for a 28-day mold growth test according to IEC 60068-2-10 (Test J) for electronic assemblies used in High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) converter valve systems.

The test objects include our cell electronics and gate units. These contain a combination of the following material categories:

  • Ceramic materials (capacitors)
  • Metal materials (resistor films, component leads, connectors, PCB copper layers)
  • Plastic / polymer materials (IC packages, connector housings, optical components)
  • Glass fiber reinforced epoxy (FR-4 PCB substrate)
  • Optical components (plastic lenses, metal housings)
  • Other materials (labels, wooden mounting plate)
