GRP sample for lab Analysis

The purpose of this scope of work is to provide the service for Laboratory Analysis of
GRP samples from internationally certified company. The third-party service company will collect
the old GRP samples from different location and do the required Lab analysis as explained in the
Scope of work below.

1.1 The third-party company shall include following in the testing & failure analysis:
1.1.1 Visual Inspection as per ASTM D 2563.
1.1.2 Ignition-loss test as per ASTM D 2584.
1.1.3 Barcol Hardness as per ASTM D 2583.
1.1.4 Tensile testing ASTM D638
1.1.5 Axial Flexural Testing ASTM 0790
1.1.6 Hoop Tensile Test ASTM D 2290.
1.1. 7 Glass transition temperature ASTM D3418.
1.1.8 Stiffness, Ring Differential & Deflection test as per ASTM D 2412.
1.1.9 Optical Microscopy.
1.1.10 Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM).
1.1.11 Engineering Evaluation of Data.
1.2 The testing and analysis shall be done to get the following details.
1.2.1 The root cause of failures.
1.2.2 The type of damage mechanisms.
1.2.3 The reliability assessment of piping materials deteriorations.
1.2.4 The remaining life assessment of existing GRP lines, based on lab analysis
1.2.5 Provide the recommendations to eliminate this kind of failure and prioritize
the short term & long-term recommendations.
