Diesel, Lube Oil, and Coolant Analysis in Malaysia

Enquiry:

We are seeking quotations for laboratory testing services for Diesel Fuel, Lube Oil, and Coolant samples, as per the specifications outlined in the attached document. The testing will be conducted periodically over the next few years. We prefer the laboratory to be locally available in Malaysia to ensure efficient sample handling and timely results.

SCOPE OF WORK:

1. Lube Oil Analysis

a.  Required Tests: Viscosity at 100°C, Flash Point (COC & PM), Soot Content, Total Base Number (TBN), Water Content, Oxidation, Ethylene Glycol.

b. Methods: ASTM/DIN/ISO standards as specified in the attached document.

2. Coolant Analysis

a. Required Tests: Sum of Alkaline Metals (as CaCO₃), pH Value, Chloride Ions, Sulfate Ions, Anions Total (Cl, SO4), Bacteria, Yeast (Fungi and Mold), Silicon.

b. Methods: ICP, IC, and other relevant standards as specified.

3. Diesel Fuel Analysis

a. Required Tests: Total Contamination, Density at 15°C, API Gravity, Viscosity at 40°C, Flashpoint, Boiling Curve, Water Content, Carbon Residue, Oxide Ash, Sulfur Content, Cetane Number, Cetane Index, Copper Corrosion, Oxidation Stability, Lubricity, Neutralization Number.

b. Methods: ASTM/DIN/ISO standards as specified in the attached document.

SAMPLE DETAILS:

1. Frequency: Testing will be conducted every four months.

2. Sample Volume:

a. Diesel Oil: 6 samples x 1 liter each.

b. Coolant: 12 samples x 1 liter each (HT and LT lines).

c. Lube Oil: 6 samples x 1 liter each.

3. Additional Samples: A one-time sample of fresh coolant and lube oil for baseline parameter establishment.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

a. Results must be provided in the units and measurement scale specified in the attached document.

b. Results must clearly indicate whether the readings fall within the allowed limit values.

c. Confirmation of lead time for receiving results after sample submission.

QUOTATION SUBMISSION:

a. Cost per test or package.

b. Total cost for the initial batch of samples.

c. Lead time for results.

d. Any additional terms or conditions.
