Allow me to briefly introduce our company based in Sohar Free Zone, Oman. We are engaged in the manufacturing of Low Carbon Ferro Chrome, a key alloy used in the production of stainless steel and other specialty steels. Low Carbon Ferro Chrome is valued for its ability to add chromium to steel without raising the carbon content significantly, making it essential in the production of corrosion-resistant and high-strength materials.
As part of our production process, we generate a by-product in the form of Lime Slag. We are currently looking to test this slag for heavy metal content using the Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP) to determine whether the material is classified as hazardous or non-hazardous.
The TCLP test should analyze for the presence of the following elements:
- Arsenic (As)
- Barium (Ba)
- Cadmium (Cd)
- Chromium (Cr)
- Lead (Pb)
- Mercury (Hg)
- Selenium (Se)
- Silver (Ag)
- Nickel (Ni)
- Copper (Cu)
- Zinc (Zn)
- Iron (Fe)
- Manganese (Mn)
- Molybdenum (Mo)
- Aluminum (Al)
As per industry standards, the testing must be conducted in accredited environmental laboratories that perform TCLP analysis in accordance with U.S. EPA Method 1311.
We would appreciate it if you could guide us on whether your facility or associated labs are equipped to perform this analysis, and if so, kindly share the procedure, lead time, and associated costs.
One of our highly proficient and ISO certified laboratory would be taking over this job.
