Parboiled Rice Quality Inspection in Thailand

Enquiry:

We are a consultancy company based in Hong Kong and Singapore and often attend on site for cargo contamination around Asia. We are reaching out to you as we have samples of parboiled rice to be tested.

On your webpage we saw that you are a specialised lab for rice testing. We have 10 composite samples of parboiled rice (each bag weights 10 kg) which would need to be tested for usual quality parameters such as microcontaminants, organoleptic characteristics (smell, taste), nutritional value and potential toxins. Additionally we would need to determine whether the samples are contaminated with contaminants originating from polypropylene combustion.

The rice was stowed in the cargo hold and the surface of the rice stow was covered with polypropylene bags and on top of the polypropylene bags craft paper was placed and both were combusted.

Would you please kindly advise if there is a way (or available testing standard at your lab) that the rice samples could be tested for combustion product contamination, principally from the burning and melting of polypropylene sacks which had been bundled on top of the stow, over which craft paper was placed?

If you would have such capability please kindly provide us with the quote for 10 sample bags and let us know the amount required per one composite sample so that we will prepare samples for shipping. Samples are currently in Thailand.

One of our highly proficient and ISO certified laboratory would be taking over this job.
