We are Environment and Education Services, a consultancy firm based in Peshawar, providing environmental consulting and social services for projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa under the supervision/compliance requirements of the World Bank and Asian Development Bank (ADB). Currently, we are expected to be involved in the rehabilitation of an existing government building for environmental and asbestos testing. As part of the rehabilitation work, some demolition activities will also be carried out. The donor has advised that a short Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) assessment be conducted, along with a mitigation plan. As an initial step, we need to determine whether any asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) are present within the building or its components. Based on the laboratory findings, a detailed mitigation plan will subsequently be prepared to ensure the protection of workers and the environment from potential asbestos-related hazards. For this purpose, we will collect samples in accordance with approved SOPs, properly seal and label them, and deliver them to your site office in Peshawar for laboratory analysis.
We kindly request you to provide your quotation for the following:
1. Laboratory testing/analysis per sample using Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM) or any other appropriate/approved analytical method.
2. Cost per sample, including sampling and laboratory analysis.
3. Cost per sample excluding sampling.
Please also mention the applicable turnaround time for the analysis and any other relevant requirements for sample submission.
