I would appreciate it if you can answer my following questions:

As one of the most elite Drilling companies in the world and oil & gas companies, our maintenance routine has to align with our international maintenance standards program, which requires following an OIL ANALYSIS system requirement.

Currently we are working on a new big project for oil and gas company, due to our intensive maintenance program, we are required to have constant equipment monitoring system, which help us a lot to expect equipment failure and lower our down time / unproductive time.

our oil analysis requirements are for different types of Oil / Fluid Analysis (e.g. Hydraulic 32, 46, 68 – Transmission 160, 220 – Engine 15W40, Diesel Fuel, Radiator Coolant, Water…. etc.) so your service is highly required to proceed forward with our program, so upon all what had been mentioned above.

Kindly, reply accordingly to the following questions:

  1. Do you have an oil analysis system that we can use?
  2. If so, how can we start using your services immediately?
  3. If we got an agreement for your services, would we be responsible for delivering the samples for you, or you will collect it?
  4. Are you going to provide us the oil sample bottles and labels to be filled?  or we will have to provide all?
  5. If we have to provide it, do you recommend a specific brand, or color (e.g. Black to protect the sample from direct light)?
  6. How long would you recommend for oil sample from the time the sample is drawn to the time of delivery to your labs / facility?
  7. How long does it take to receive the oil analysis report from the time we deliver the sample?
  8. How much would it cost for your oil analysis service? is it per one oil analysis samples or it is per month or flat rate ?
  9. If we bought also the oil drums from your company, would we have a discount or free oil analysis? if so, please let us know the full details with some examples?
  10. Are your labs accrediting from any oil analysis organization / Quality organization bodies?
  11. Do you have a portable oil analysis machine (small oil lab analysis benchmark ) that we can purchase it and keep it permanently in our location?
  12. If so, how much would it cost to purchase it? And what is the Manufacture/ brand and the model? How long it will take to deliver it? How long it will to train one of our employees on it? is user friendly?
  13. Do you have a constant monitoring oil analysis device that can continuously monitor the oil condition? If so, what is the cost of it? And what is the Manufacture / brand, model?

Magdust product Testing in Oslo, Norway

Ionic Liquid and Hydrogen Compatibility Testing, Malaysia

Enquiry:

We are in search of a laboratory equipped to perform compatibility tests between ionic liquids and hydrogen. Our requirement is detailed below:

a. Objective:

  • To evaluate the solubility of hydrogen in ionic liquid under various pressures and temperatures.
  • To assess the equilibrium content of ionic liquid components in the hydrogen gas phase under different pressures and temperatures.

b. Equipment and Materials:

  • A steel bottle of approximately 200ml or suitable volume, capable of handling hydrogen gas at 900 barg.
  • Hydrogen supply with 99.99% purity at 900 barg.
  • Ionic Liquid: 1-ethyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide, [EMIM][Tf2N], with 99.9% purity.

Note: Hydrogen at 900barg is to be sourced by the laboratory and ionic liquid [EMIM][Tf2N] will be provided by NGLTech.

c. Test Procedure:

  • Fill the container with [EMIM][Tf2N] to 50% of its volume.
  • Pressurize the container with hydrogen gas to the specified pressure (refer to Note 1).
  • Adjust the container’s temperature as per Note 1 (either heating or cooling as applicable).
  • Once the target temperature is achieved, agitate the vessel to ensure thorough mixing.
  • Collect samples of both the gas and the liquid for analysis.

The analysis should determine the H2 content in the liquid and the [EMIM][Tf2N] content in the gas phase.

Note 1:

  • Test at 350 barg pressure and 80°C temperature.
  • Test at 900 barg pressure and 15°C temperature.
