Enquiry:
I am reaching out to you as we have questions regarding oil testing for one of our customers. Our client is installing a power plant at their factory and have purchased two MAN HFO Engines V28/32S. Can you please support on:
- What is the right test for those HFO engines?
- Can you send us a quotation regarding the price of the recommended test?
- What would be the appropriate frequency for necessary oil testing?
- For info, as per the engine manual, regular oil additions are expected, with an initial fill of approximately 3000 L and a daily top-up of 40 to 60 L.
If you have any insights based on past experience regarding the typical oil lifespan for these engines, that would be very helpful. Our primary goal with oil testing is to monitor the engine’s condition, determine how long the oil will last, and estimate the interval (in hours) after which the client should plan for an oil sump change.
One of our highly proficient and ISO certified laboratory would be taking over this job.
